I have built a growing reputation along the South Coast as a Couture Designer of hats and bespoke outfits for events ranging from formal weddings and race events. My specialty is in creating wonderfully designed and created fascinators to complement any outfit or occasion.
With a lifelong background in fashion starting by watching my grandmother crochet and my mother knit at home in the Basque region of Northern Spain, I first picked up a sewing needle to design and make my mum's clothes and alter clothes for friends. I later learned embroidery to allow challenging myself in designing unique handbags.
In my twenties, I met and studied for three years under the renowned designer, artist, and textile teacher Lourdes Lacalle at her Versus Moda Fashion Academy in Vitoria. This experience enabled me to truly realise my passion and creativity. Then went on to open my own stylist business specialising in Couture in Vitoria for ten years, before realising my next ambition and challenge of bringing my unique style and combinations of Spanish colour to England and Southsea in 2007. After coming to England, I decided to specialise in Millinery and undertook an apprenticeship with
Katherine Elizabeth in London.
For the next few years, I managed the Just Sew specialist shop in Southsea. Our clients at that time included Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, and Ted Baker.
