I first met Ana whilst networking and heard of her design and millinery or hat making skills, so when I had a special wedding to attend, without hesitation I knew it was Ana I would ask to design and make me a hat that would go with the dress that I had bought. The dress also needed taking in and I left this with Ana to do.

I visited Ana at her “studio” which is festooned with brightly coloured cloth and materials for her craft. Nothing was rushed, I tried on half a dozen designs and chose the one I liked, we then discussed colours and also the practicality of the size of the hat as I was travelling and flying and did not want a large hat.

We had a second appointment where she showed me the hat design with the chosen materials to check I was happy with everything. Ana also suggested adding a little ‘feather’ type adornments as a finishing touch.   I also tried on my dress which had been altered but not cut and finished.

For my final appointment Ana came to me and showed me how to wear the hat, how to arrange my hair around the fine elastic that keeps the hat in place.  The hat came with a cute and sturdy little “suitcase” which meant I could pack it safely without fear of crushing my hat.

Everyone at the wedding remarked on my hat, I was absolutely thrilled to bits with it and highly recommend Ana for her millinery and dress making expertise.
